The Corniche is a long, uninterrupted strip running the length of the North West of Abu Dhabi Island. It has a pedestrian walk way and cycle track running along the sea and is dotted with shops, cafes, parks and public beaches. Just behind it are the residential and commercial areas of Al Khalidiya and Downtown Abu Dhabi and at the eastern tip it flows into Mina Zayed and onto Saadiyat Island.

The Corniche is the historical heartbeat of Abu Dhabi boasting some of the oldest (the Hilton), newest (Marina Mall) and most impressive (the “Seven Star” Emirates Palace) architecture in the City. It has long been one of the most desirable residential areas due to its proximity to both the beaches of the Arabian Gulf (and the accompanying sea views) and all that the City of Abu Dhabi has to offer.

Local Secret: Marina Village is an exclusive development just behind Marina Mall. Its modern villas boast sea views, private pool, gardens and private beach.

Local Secret 2: Try the Shisha bars found in most of the local parks. They do good solid Lebanese food and offer great views of Lulu Island.
